| Re: "Bad Ass Poker" Badonka Donk Donkament I just did a test-oil tonight: 4 of each = 20 chips oiling just the edges (rolled them on an oil-soaked sponge, then on paper towel) and 1 of each = 5 heavily soaked on both sides. I plan to oil all 1300 - just edges, but wanted to see how bad the damage to labels is if I screw up and get oil all over the faces.
I'll try to remember my camera so I can do a "before, during, after" comparison. So far, oiling seems to effect the darkest colours most (black, purple, red, green - in that order) and isn't even noticeable on the arch-yellow. It makes my denom text colour match the chip base much better! (labels came out a touch darker than I'd expected).
I plan to do most of the oiling on Tuesday, and put these puppies into play on Thursday.
* By the way, not sure if anybody cares, but while labeling these, I noticed tremendous colour transfer or the green chips to my fingers... None of the others did anything weird, but the green chips made my fingers and thumbs BLACK (not green). Not sure if oiling will reduce this or not. I didn't get any blue or white chips, so someone else will have to report on blue colour transfer.
