So, I am not sure if this is an uncool thing or not but I thought I would throw out an idea and see if it had any traction.
I am working on an idea for a set of BCC custom chips and thought that if there were some other folks interested in the basic design I could order a larger volume which would bring down the price of the per-chip cost by amortizing the largish layout cost.
I can spell out some of the things i will be certain about but I am mostly interested in the opinions of those who have been around for a while whether this kind of thing can work. While for certain aspects of the design, I am eager for input and help, at this point I am not thinking of this is not a "design contest" that would be completely democratically run - though that may be another possibility.
- I am looking to create a denominated but non-currency set that could be use for either cash (in any country) games or tourny.
- I have definite ideas about the green (25), black (100) purple (500) and arc yellow/orange (1000 or ncv) chip color combos and edgespot patterns (as this will be the majority of "cash set" chips I order. patterns but am compeletly open about the rest
- the "theme" idea for labeling is "mountain club" after a favorite spot in the Berkshire area in new england.
- I am open, but have been picturing using a different indigenous animal for each denomination (chip monk 1, rabbit 5, deer 25, bear 100, beaver (?) 500 etc). I like the "rounders" bear chip as an example also the sample antartica chips seen at the ASM/PC.com site:

- I would be interested in finding anyone who has a mold that bcc could use as an alternative to the "flame" mold.
- Here are some of the color combos and spot patterns i have been playing with

So please give feed back of any sort, but especially in this thread on if you think this kind of project can work as a "group buy" Thanks
David
