But I am well impressed in the difference from the last set I had. I just had a cheapo £20 Dice set, which I will still use some of the chips, but when we had a big game I just had plastic chips, which were pooooor.
These are class, I have now decided to start collecting chips

I assume you're talking about the Nexgen 8100-series "River Poker Tour" chips. They definitely look nice (especially the 3D14-spotted green, black, purple, and yellow chips).
You're starting down an expensive road, as my first "nice" chips were Nexgen 8200-series ("Lucky Bees"), which replaced my cheapo Bicycle interlocking plastic chips. Then I discovered ChipTalk, upgraded the size/breakdown of my Nexgen set several times, then finally decided to spring for some "Samurai Palace" BCC compression-molded clay chips, and, well, the rest is history.
