| Re: Upgrade my T5000 to deepstack You can also go deepstack by buying chips in the other direction.
Add 200 red chips as T5. Give everyone 20 of them and take away one of the T100 chips. That's still T5000 but you start with blinds of T5/T10, so it's another way of getting 500BB to start.
20 x T5
8 x T25
12 x T100
3 x T500
2 x T1000
That's 45 chips for starting stacks.
I'm not sure what you mean by "deepstack" -- just lots of chips, or very low blinds in relation to starting amount? The above approach does get lots of chips in play, but the reds would still be colored up after the first 3 or 4 levels.
If you just want very low blinds in relation to starting stack, consider something like a T1600 by adding 100 T1 (white) and 80 T5 (red) to your set instead.
10 x T1
8 x T5
6 x T25
4 x T100
2 x T500
That's 30 chips for starting stack and start with T1/T2 blinds, which would be starting with 800 BB. Very slow progression.
I think the problem with making a very "deep stack" in the higher direction with Paulson's is that after the T1000, and using the ND as T5000, there is no T25000 chip to use in that design. |
