I was at an unlicensed private poker club in Toronto with $60 tourneys (15% VIG) and $1/2 NL cash games ($200 max buy-in; 10% per hand rake). I was there for a tourney and they used "suited" chips without edgespots. I mentioned this to the owner, and he showed me the "much more secure" chips they use for cash games, which were the "4 aces" chips you can find all over eBay and at any games/hobby store at a local mall. I tried to tell him about security and getting custom chips, but he thought the current chips were fine.
