Which Iconic actors/movies would you use, and what denominations would you give them?
For memorable seated-at-a-poker-table-potential-still-shots, Here's what I came up with (in no particular order):
Henry Fonda (Big Hand for the Little Lady) $.50
James Garner (Maverick-TV) - $5
Kenny Rogers (The Gambler) $1 (the most prolific chip, the longest running character)
Steve McQueen (Cincinnati Kid) - $5000
Edward G. Robinson (Cincinnati Kid) - $1000
Paul Newman (The Sting) - $500
Nicholas Cage (Honeymoon in vegas) - NCV
Mel Gibson (Maverick) - $10
Jodie Foster (Maverick) - $20
Benicio Del Toro (Snatch) - 20 Eu (OK, not poker per se, but he was cooler than cool at that card table)
Matt Damon (Rounders) - $100
Edward Norton (Rounders) - $2.50
Madonna (**** Tracy) - $2
John Malkovich (Rounders) - $25
Brad Pitt (Ocean's 11) - $.25
George Clooney (Ocean's 11) - $.10
Sylvester Stallone (Shade) - $.05
Daniel Craig (Casino Royale) - $25,000 ('cuz it's Bond playing poker, and Bond don't play no $10-$20 Limit)
Sean Connery (Dr. No) - $100,000 (OK, he's at the Baccarat table, but gotta have him 'cuz he's REALLY Bond)
Robert Duvall (Lucky You) - NCV
Eric Bana (Lucky You) - ??
Kurt Russell (Poseidon) - NCV
O.J. Simpson (Naked Gun) - Bounty
Yes, this is really more of an exercise in assigning a chip value to the actor/character's importance amongst portrayals of gamblers in the TV/Movie industry. But, if we got to the point of fleshing this out with screen captures of the memorable moments this might go somewhere - if the movie studios didn't object...(cough).
