All due respect here, but what he posted was nothing to joke about. As usual he was probably just posting to cause a war, but seriously. Believe me, I like to have fun just as much as the next guy but he severly crossed the line with that post IMO. And what's worse, even though he can't read all this, you know he's loving that fact that we're all talking about him.

Even if he could post, he wasn't interested in actually taking on a challenge. Some excuse would've come up.
What I proposed was the best way to maximize skill v luck, he had no interest in that.

Maybe, but did you see the thread about who wrote Ocean's 13? Was I the only one that thought his comments were leading in an anti-semitic direction?

I have to say that I can only remember one person on CT who has been as disruptive and -- to be frank -- as flat-out looney as BigWoody (yes, ahopen, of course). And like ahopen's, I found some of BW's posts amusing. But if I had a vote (which I do not, of course), I would vote for a perma-ban.

People like themightyjim2K tried to give him some friendly advice, telling him that if he perhaps just admitted he was lying he might be given another chance. But BW just started raving about how we were all out to get him (again, reminiscent of ahopen: at least he didn't try to argue that jojo and jim2K were the same person, which is marginally more believable than jamby and wyle being the same!). And of course, the actual reasons for his first and second bannings were posts that went way beyond the pale.

I doubt that banning him will do anything but feed the inferiority/paranoia that clearly drives his superiority complex (he had a 3.7!! wow: an A- average in high school!!). And I have to admit that watching a good internet train-wreck can be a lot of fun. But the amusement doesn't outweigh the disruption. I know that Ten and the mods are remarkably tolerant, but BigWoody has been given as many chances as he deserves.

In my classes, I have what may be considered a strict attendance policy: if a student misses more than the equivalent of two weeks of classes, they flunk. I might give a seriously contrite student one more chance, but if they mess up again, that is it. I say BigWoody has earned his F.

That was the third anti-semetic remark he has made on this board. I'm not Jewish, but I am still offended that something like that can exist here.

I wasnt going to post in this but I guess someone of color needs to speak up being of spanish descent,it is very hard for me to tolerate racism,My family has been in california since before it was a part of america,I am light skinned and i am told I look italian,you have know idea the hateful things peole will say not knowing what my background is,now whith all the contversy over bulding walls in america to keep all the different immagrants from coming here,I have seen more prejudice in my life over the last three years( iam only 36) and it seems to becoming more mainstream,I hate the fact that we care so much about the color of each others skin and not focus on the fact that our infrusture in this counrty is falling apart ,please ban people like him for the very fact that this is about chips not hate mongerrying, thank you and now I will get off my soapbox
