When I joined CT not too long ago, I was still using 11.5g dice chips. Needless to say, I wanted a change. I spent some time looking at reviews and such on here and finally settled on these Faux Clays. Simply put, these are the best cheap chips out there.

Pros:

• Feel - Incredibly close to real clay chips. The textured faces feel great.
• Price - These simply can't be beat in terms of value. Real clay feel for only 4.5 cents per chip? Simply amazing.
• Stacking - Rock solid stacks up to 60 or so chips. I made a stack 300 high with mine right out of the box. Some of the best stacking chips ever.
• Sound - Very good. Nice and solid sound, completely devoid of the dreaded metallic 'clink' associated with dice chips.
• Shuffling - They have a little bit of 'dust' on them and have lots of friction right out of the box, but a little bit of handling and they shuffle like a dream.
• Durability - Nearly indestrutible. Unless you literally throw one of these straight against a brick wall, they probably won't break. Some CT members have baked them in ovens and shown that they are resistant to high temperatures as well, so they're safe in cars in the summer.
• Customizability - Can be labeled, laser engraved, or cold stamped. Also, the white chips can be dyed with fabric dye or other such methods.

Cons:

• Mold - Very plain mold, just the general 6 dice around the edge.
• Manufacturing - The manufacturing process leaves a rather large injection mold pimple, which some may find annoying.
• Availability - Unfortunately, these are on the road to the same place as the dinosaurs and the dodo birds. At the time of this article, only white, red, green, and blacks were still available.
