The Red Room: ASM, taking matters into my own hands.

I don't have to tell you guys how difficult it can be to wait for custom chips from ASM. I think the majority of you have felt that pain. I just couldn't wait any longer for mine, so I had to take matters into my own hands. I just had to see the finished product, so I recreated them in my favorite 3d application, Lightwave.

What you are seeing is my close interpretation of the final product. I was told that the chips should ship out within the week, so it is possible that I could have them soon, but you all know how that goes. I will post images of the actual chips as soon as I have them. I have larger images that are clearer, but I wanted to take into consideration bandwidth issues of members. If you'd like to see the better images. I can post them. I plan on taking the first image and sending it off to create a 2-sided poster so I can back-light it and hang it in the lounge. It should be interesting.

Thanks for looking!

Gorgeous. Love the inlay.

And a hell of a Lightwave Job! I am still not sure if they are real

Gorgeous renderings. You realize, of course, that when you receive your chips you have to take pics to match the layout/angle of these for comparison purposes?

Ever use 3DS Max?

Wow... I saw the pics before I read your post, and thought "Hey, how'd he get ASMs without little brass flecks in them?" That was the only thing that made me suspicious... The shadows on the textured felt and slight blurring of out-of-focus objects (including the EPOC cards) looks so real!
