.25/.50 NL Full Tilt
I've only played for 1-2 rounds, but the table is a little tight. I've had good cards so my image is LAGgy.
I have $32 with AKo (no clubs) in the BB. The SB has $40 and has not played many hands.
Folds to SB who completes. I raise to $2 and, after a wait, the SB calls.
Flop is KQ8 rainbow, one club.
Check to me. I bet $2, SB calls.
Turn A .
I bet $6, SB goes all-in.
I have $22 left, pot has $20 (less the rake) plus his all-in bet, so the pot odds are 2:1.
What to do?
My analysis: I don't think he has AA-QQ. He could have JT or 88, which would be bad, but he could also play this with AQ, KQ. He might have A8 or K8, but I don't really think so. KJ, KT, QJ, QT (suited clubs) are possible, I guess.

He flat called the flop with an open-ender and turned the Nuts and decided to check-raise. You both played the hand fine... he has to have J-10. I fold.

Sorry to disagree - but there's no way he has JT and is check-raising (and overbetting) with the nuts here.
Why would he do that? Poster has a LAG image, so if opponent is aware of that and has the nuts, you let the other guy do the raising.
I put him on AQ. Possibly KQ, maybe 88. He has a good hand but fears the draws.
I'd be happy to get the money in here.

I am thinking AQ also here. He seems like he wants you out, not to call.

Instant call from me. AQ, AJ, AT, A8, KQ, KJ, KTs all make this play.
JT either semibluffs the flop or doesn't c/r all in in a blind battle. 88 raises preflop.
Maybe it's JT or 88, but it's more likely an A or two pair.

sure...there are one or two hands here that beat you. but blind v blind play is crazy, and people think there's no way you have a hand.
i call it off and see AQ lots of times, or some weird ace.

Battle of the blinds. Your flop bet was pretty weak and he probably flat-called with A8. Now that he hit top and bottom, he goes all in cuz he doesn't want to see another card and he probably thinks he is good. Proceed to stack him.

On the flop, why do you only bet $2? Why not the pot?
Turn you bet $6, I probably do the same.
He pushed all in, well I'm not smart enough to let this hand go, so I call. If he had J/T then I let him catch. If he has 2 pr (K/ lets just hope he doesn't hit the 8 on the river.
So tell us more. |
