I had an idea : using the 5K 25K and 100K ( those i love )
Stacks for a 5 $ buy in :
20 x 5K (0,05 $)
12 x 25K (0,25 $)
1 x 100K (1 $)
and then for the 10 $ Buy in
20 x 5K
28 x 25K
2 x 100K
to have enough chips and to play a lot lol, i imagine a set of
300 x 5K
400 x 25K ( enough to do a color up )
50 x 100K
what do you think about please ? am i correct ? totaly nut ? in the good way ?
Thanx a lot for your help

I'm not sure what exactly you want to play, but it looks like a tournament for me since you provided a game duration.
I would suggest a T1000, with starting stacks
15 x $5
17 x $25
5 x $100
Including the color-ups you would need 150/200/100 = 450 chips. Add another 50 x $500 for up to 25 re-buys and you're at 500 chips total. You could also play 5 or 10 Eur cash games with this breakdown, just use the face denominations as cent values.

I bought 400 of these for a 10-player T1,000,000 tourney. The breakdown was: 150 X T5,000 / 150 X T25,000 / 100 X T100,000.
Starting stacks are:
15 X T5,000
13 X T25,000
6 X T100,00
= 1,000,000 chips
We Do 20-minute levels and blinds like this:
10K-15K
15K-30K
25K-50K
35K-70K
50K-100K
75K-150K Color up 5K chips at the 2-hour point : 5 minute break
Then switch to 15-minute intervals
100K-200K
150K-300K
200K-400K
300K-600K
Target time is 3 hours, if it's not over at this point we go to 500K-1,000,000 blinds and that will settle it within a few hands.
When 4-5 people get knocked out, we have a side table for a cash game. The lower denoms work better for this because of the inclusion of the $500 chip: $25 chip = $0.25 / $100 chip = $1.00 / $500 chip = $5.00. We usually play no limit with $0.25-$0.50 blinds and $40-50 max buy-in. As people get knocked out of the tournament they can either sit around and complain about their bad luck or enter the cash game. Usually I do both.
I have a big set of the lower denoms that we use for our larger tournaments, and I really love these chips. The black $100 chip and the pink $25,000 chip are absolutely beautiful.
From a durability standpoint, they're fantastic. The cost per chip is pretty low, and you don't have to worry about people spilling beer or soft drinks on them. They clean up easily with a wet towel, and can take the beating of being thrown around the table and tons of people handling them.
Good luck with your Casino Royale set. You won't be disappointed.

I got a heads-up / 5-player set of the high-denoms:
50 x $5k
75 x $25k
100 x $100k
---------------
225 total chips = $12,125,000
Heads-up starting stacks are:
25 x $5k
35 x $25k
40 x $100k
------------
100 chips = $5,000,000
For 5 players (with full colour-ups and up to 5 re-buys from remaining $100k's):
10 x $5k
10 x $25k
007 x $100k
--------------
27 chips = $1,000,000
I don't think I'm interested in plaques. For me, this is just a small set for fun... may not even get used unless I can get my wife to play... If I found individual movie prop plaques (used in the movie), I'd probably bid for one of each, but I definitely don't need a set of plaques for playing with.

Damien | I would kill for some actual red and blue plaques that were used in the movie or if Carta Mundi (who manuafatures the chips) put some out as the official licensee.
The problem with getting some custom-made plaques is the copyright issue, I suppose. I doubt we could get anybody to put "Casino Royale" on a plaque for fear of the lawyers breathing down their neck. And certainly any plaque that would go well with this set must have the 007 gunbarrel logo, in a style reminiscent of the movie poster. I know nobody would dare put that logo on a plaque. That being said, if you hear anything interesting as far as a plaque to go with these chips, from any source whatsoever, please post and let me know. I would definitely be in for about 20 X $500,000 and 10 X $1,000,000. I would have to be careful not to push them all-in as sloppily as JB does in the movie, though. Don't splash the pot, James!!
Maybe Carta Mundi could be contacted to find out if any replacas have been produced for collectors, or if anything is in the works. If I hear anything I'll let you know.
Great, another chip-related obsession. |

Chips: 36.9 Bank: 0.0 Total Chips: 36.9 | | | Re: Casino Royale Cash Set Breakdown ...
Hey all,
I got a sampler set of Casino Royales, and I have to say they are phenominal, especially for non-clay chips. However, I have run into a problem regarding the sets that they come in. I usually have a game that's 5-10 players, with chips in a 4-3-2-1 ratio, as suggested at HomePokerTourney. Unfortunately, the ratio of chips sold in the sets skew that balance. I realize I can buy different sized sets at Apache and then get chips individually through pokershop.dk, but I didn't know if anyone had any advice regarding a different chip breakdown, or an opinion of the amount of chips I should be working with.
Thanks in advance...

Thanks in advance... | Hi Seraph,
I've got 2600 of these low denomination chips and use them for our large tournaments. I can easily accompany 50 people with a T2000 starting tournament or 40 people with a T5000 tournament. And even more if you put fewer chips in front of each person, but we like each person to have a minimum of at least 35 chips to avoid having to make too much change. I've found that the best ratio for these chips is 4-4-3-2 instead of 4-3-2-1. My breakdown is 800 X T5, 800 X T25, 600 X T100, and 400 X T500.
For our T2000 tournament, we use this starting stack with 40 or fewer people:
20 X T5
16 X T25
10 X T100
1 X T500
If we have between 41-50 people, we could change it slightly:
15 X T5
13 X T25
11 X T100
1 X T500
We start the blinds at 10-15, but you could have a T1000 tourney and start the blinds at 5-10 with the following starting stack:
15 X T5
13 X T25
6 X T100
So with 10 players, 400 chips should be plenty. 150 X T5, 150 X T25, 75 X T100, 25 X T500. This leaves you 20 T25 chips to use in your first color up and 15 T100 chips to use at the second color up. Plus enough T500 chips to equal the total number of starting chips.
Unfortunatley, with the prearranged sets from Apache, the problem will always be not enough T100chips and too many T500 chips, since those two always come in the same quantity in all their sets.
That being said, I bought 2400 of my chips from Apache because their prices and service are really good. I then bought 200 T100 chips seperatley from another vendor to get my set the way we needed it.
So for your purpose, Apache has a 500 chip set that would give you the quantitity you need, with 25 extra T5 and T25 chips and 50 extra T500 chips. I would think that would be your chepest way to go, since you get a case also.
Good luck with your Casino Royale's. I still really love these chips when you consider everything needed to put chips in play for a big tourney.
