First- remember that 160,000 bellagios were printed- MOST of that order was pretty good all things considered.
When were paying around .25 a chip for a large order like that- dont expect perfection
NEARLY ALL of those images were fairly well centered-
Also- that order was done on some pretty basic equipment- which has been updated at Sunfly so the Bellagio order- considering everything- was in my mind an amazing feat by ANY company's standards
We use slightly different equipment here- our chips are made by two people- and theyre fairly well screened from a QC standpoint.
Also- when we submit an order to Sun for overseas production- the artwork is gone over and corrections made- profiles adjusted- we dont just take the customer's file and send it over and HOPE it comes out good. We prototytpe every order here to make sure there's no disappointment once the order is done... and... we do it for less then if someone felt they want to have Sun do it directly.
The good news as of today is: weve negotiated some REALLY good airfreight rates-- so our future group buys- were not shipping by sea- theyre gonna be flown in!!!
Personally I hate waiting months for something- so with our new carrier this will be a thing of the past--
