Chips: 82.2 Bank: 0.0 Total Chips: 82.2 | | | Oiling my chips soon...
Hi,
I want to oil my chips soon. But I don't want to make some mistakes.I've read a lot about it on the web.
I know there a lot of thread about it on the forum, then I'm a bit lost.
Could you give me a thread link on chiptalk or other site on the web.
Especially for oiling hostamped chips.
Thanks.

Hi Husk,
What kind of chips do you have, and what condition are they in?
There isn't much to oiling. Dip your fingers in some mineral oil (or even baby oil) and rub it into each chip. Then you can wipe them off and lay them out to dry.
The most important thing is to make sure they are dry before you put them back in the racks.
Oiling shouldn't affect the hotstamp, but you should try it out on just a few chips first to convince yourself.

It is a paulson roulette set. Most of them are very dirty, dusty ...I clean them first with soap and mild detergent with a toothbrush that's work out good. Now the chips a clean.
I tried yesterday to oil them but I cannot see a real difference today.I don't know if I use the approprieted oil. It's called ESSENCE F in frensh. An petrol based oil.In france the baby oil don't exist, no one use it.
I just dump your chips into a container of Mineral Oil and let them soak a while.About one minute. Then I rub then with cotton cloth and let them dry all the night.

On the lighter colour Paulson's, you wouldn't notice much change after oiling.

Yes , it does work very good with parrafine oil. Especially on brown and dark color, and on hot pink too.
