| $1/$2 Limit is the worst game ever played After months of my friends and co-workers telling my how awesome it was, I just spent the last three days playing $1/$2 limit hold'em at the local card room. I will never, ever go back.
All I can say is it was three days filled with the absolute worst aspects of poker - dumb luck, crazy draws, bad beats, nobody folding, terrible play, no strategy, moronic table tallk, and lost money.
Overall I walked away down about $30.00 for three days (about 10 hours of play) but the money isn't the problem - even if I had won $300.00 it wouldn't have been worth the frustration.
Maybe if they offered $1/$2 no limit it would be better, but this sucks. You cannot get anyone off of a hand no matter what you have and nine out of ten hands is won by absolute garbage cards which hit dumb luck. I hate dumb luck poker.
