This is my auction. Very first time selling. Yeah! I will be getting money instead of shelling it out. I have sets of 20 of the $5,000, $25,000 left. The same denoms that were used in the movie. I know they are very pricey but I am trying to raise some money to pay for my WSOP rebuy. As far as I know, you can not get these anywhere in the US right now. Josh, from Apache has told me that Cartamundi US, the distributor of the chips and cards, will not be issuing any for the US market. Whether this is true or not I have no idea. I put these sets on sale last night and have sold 12 out of the 16 I had, including all my $100,000. I only have the $5,000 and $25,000 sets left on ebay but I do have a few $100,000 (maybe 10) that I did not include in the auctions. If anyone from here decides to buy a set of the chips I have left, I will gladly include a couple of the $100,000 per set for free. -- who am I kidding, at the price I am asking you deserve them if you pay that much. -- Anyway, if you do buy any of the sets, let me know via PM here and I will include the $100,000.
Quick review on the chips: after handling these for several days I can say without a doubt that these are not of higher quality than the matsui as Apache had told me, at least not the ones Josh is selling. It is hard to describe the sound. They have a metal instert. I know because I tore one out to see the insides (will post pics as soon as I can). They don't however, sound anything like the dice chips. IMO they sound better than the Casinos but you would never confused them with clays. They are covered in a rubbery substance that bruises (yes bruises) if you drop them on hard cement. I know due to accidental experimentation. They do, however, look very nice and for anyone who has seen the movie the cool factor is definetly there. Everyone I showed them to who had seen the movie was impressed. I compared the $100,000 chips I have with the still close-ups from the movie and I can't see any difference between the ones used in the movies and mine. They are really heavy, 14 grams, which to me is a huge drawback. If they had made these like the Neophytes, they would be perfect.
