| Re: An odd hand from a $4/180 Mostly a donkey play, IMO. I'm folding to the flop bet for a two reasons: you're only drawing to 3 nut outs (:Tc puts a possible flush out there), and my pair outs might not be any good; the pot is really small - I don't care about losing it.
A few questions:
- Why not raise preflop? If the player has been tight, you could win a decent sized pot right there. Most players limp like this with small PPs and suited connectors, and will fold to a raise. Winning a pot like this preflop with a hand like KJs is a nice result.
- I don't mind you taking off a card on the flop, and calling a tiny bet on the turn in hopes for a free showdown, but why the heck are you betting the river? You won't get called by a worse hand, and not too many hands better than you will fold (a weak A might). My guess is he had a hand like 88 anyways. |
