Every time I see this I have to laugh. Anyone can take great pictures with almost any camera. Unless the camera is broken, it is almost a certainty that it is user error.

You need 3 ingredients to take good pictures of chips. 1) the close up button (the one that looks like the little flower) 2) good light (outside light works great! you can do it inside during the day next to a window. It works best if it is not direct sunlight and 3) some sort of a tripod ( the little $3 mini tripods at REI work great) Turn your flash off too as it will overpower the picture.
