| Re: Chipco edge spot alignment (lack thereof) If you look at most well designed Chipco chips, the edge spots do not go beyond the rolling edge onto the face of the chip. I would technically call these rolling edge designs as you don't have to use spots at all. If the chip design takes into effect that restriction you can come up with some really nice things that do not depend on edge spots being on the face of the chip.
For those designs where this restriction(or shortcoming, you choose) is not taken into consideration it is indeed something you must get used to or the Chipco chips won't last long in your collection.
One thing I personally think makes Chipco ceramics superior is the feel of them compared to the other ceramic blanks, I've had the other's in my hands, shuffled them, and they just don't measure up.
And, as has been mentioned earlier, the white ring would make those spots still seem disjointed even if they did match up.
