Probably NOT a good idea to try microwaving the hotstamps. I think that would probably be a bad scene.
I haven't noticed anything ditinctive but one run I over heated 3 chips for about one minute and the flatenned them and cool them and I noticed some distinct distortions of the surface cross hatching. It smoothed out like it had been melted and the edges seemed to nimple inwards like the surfaces had been melted and flatened. But as long as I kept the heat to about 22-25 secs I didn't notice this problem. Still I'm sure that even at this heat something has been altered even though I can't precieve it with the naked eye. They still look , sound and shuffle great and at least to me they stack alot better with a whole lot less wobble. And you're correct too hotstamps have metal foil and are inappropriate for the microwave
