| Re: if it werent for donks... i would lose less often :) The way you described the first tournament, it sounds like a crap shoot if your tables chip leader was one of the SS of the tournament. In that case, I can't even imagine how many (or in this case how little) BB's you had left. The structure was gonna force you to gamble for a big stack and a subsequent shot at the win. Therefore I may call with the 86d too, honestly, you're so low that your live suited connecters will usually give you a 40% chance to double up...if he has an overpair then so be it, but with the structure in place you have to take shots at those 60/40 races.
In the second tournament, I think it's pretty stupid to make it 400 when the blinds are only 25/50 (8 x BB is a ridiculous opening raise...why not just shove as an openng raise)....he's raising way too much and risking winning just the blinds with AA (very big waste). |
