I know people are probably getting tired of me harping on this, but seeing as I would be bored about 4 nights a week without it, I get pretty excited when I see proof that the govt. can't kill online poker.

Gift2go prepaid visas that can be picked up at your local drugstore are accepted at most poker sites. here are a couple of threads on them at 2p2. There are other types of prepaid visas on the market but not all of them are accepted online so be warned that if you get one that is not a gift2go brand it might not work.

probably the easiest way to deposit if your debit card isnt working and you don't want/ trust epassporte. Plus with these you don't have to give them any personal information (ie SSN or bank info) and you can always request a check for cash out.

I've never had a real money account at a poker site. Do these sites ask for your your physical address or other info? If you give them a US address do they reject your sign up? Or is all you need an email address?

They ask for a real address but until you try to withdraw, I don't believe they care. As for the US address, just stick to P*, FTP, UB or absolute as they still take US players willingly.

most need your address for a couple of reasons. To prevent you from signing up two names at the same house and colluding, and so that they have an address to verify if they need to send you money for a withdrawal. There are still lots of sites that are accepting US players, and as long as you do not live in Washington or a couple of other states there is nothing illegal about playing online poker. In those 2 or 3 states that have made a law about it there has been little-no-enforcement and if caught I'm pretty sure the first offense is just a warning.

I would suggest trying it out for real at pokerstars, Ultimate Bet, Absolute, or Full Tilt. They are the best most populated real money sites. If you sign up at UB, Abs, or FT make sure you get rakeback and take advantage of the deposit bonus. If you need any more info about this just send me a PM and I can help out.

Just used a gift2go visa at pokerstars and it was fast and easy. I liked that I didn't have to establish an account somewhere linked to a credit card or bank account.
