Which is what I do regardless of the denom (although I only color up 5's, 25's and 100's). The only people who ever complain are those with an even stack. The whole idea of coloring up is that the departing chip is of little value anymore, so the fact that someone gets a little more than someone else is of little concern to me, although it still bugs people. Anyway, I always round everyone up, so I would have done the same as you.
