In our tournies, rather than spending time racing, we just round up...2 or 3 25's gets you 1 new 100...

but we ran into an interesting situation last week...

we were coloring out the 25's.....but the big boutny (last months winner) had one (and only one) $25 chip. that was his whole stack.

Now regardless of wether we race or round, this player was in danger of getting colored out of the tournament! I was the TD at the time and ruled to just color him up to 1 $100 chip. some at the table bitched that I just tripled him for free...My response was that I didn't think we should color anyone out of the tourney..[they eventually agreed when I said if that happened the bounty would roll over to next week, and might not be at their table]

anyone dealt with this before or see a flaw in my reasoning / ruling...
