| Re: 24 Person Tourney Help! One way you can potentially speed up play is by instituting ante's at one of the lower levels. You'd be surprised how much time this can trim off of a tournament's timeline. I start with 25 antes at the 200/400 level, then progress to 50, 100, 200, 300, etc with each blind level. As you can tell, this escalates pretty quickly into building larger pots and forcing more play. You may want to only bump the ante every other blind round, but this works for shortening the game and creating more play at pots since there is already 'dead money' in there from the beginning. With 32 players at my game we usually finish in about 5 1/2 to 6 hours. We start with fewer chips, but my blind rounds are twice as long as yours which makes it equal out in most cases.
