Are these NEXGEN Series 8000?

I purchased these chips from Poker Goods.

http://www.pokergoods.com/pd_paulson_tophat.cfm#

What I'm trying to find out is if these chips are Nexgens or imitations. The only chip that looks like the Nexgen 8000 Edge Spot Las Vegas chips is the blue. All of these chips have white edge spots. I figured I would ask the experts (Generation Nex) for their opinion. These are/were slated for Christmas Gifts and I'm a little disappointed. Thanks for the help Irish Se7en.

Here is what was posted on Discountcasiongear. The Nexgen 8000 with the correct edge spots or what I believe are the correct edge spots.

Re: Are these NEXGEN Series 8000?

They do not look like mine. I have the White, Red, Blue, Green, Black,& Purple and the Blue is the only one that has white edge marks. The colors look different also. I have at least 2500 and although I'm not a member of NexGen, if these are a new style someone else will have to identify them. Hope someone can let ya know..

Re: Are these NEXGEN Series 8000?

They sure as heck look like the 8000 Nexgens but with different colors. I've never seen those colors though (The Blue/white is the same as 8000 series) so I have no clue.

What about them disappoints you?

Re: Are these NEXGEN Series 8000?

I just checked out Poker Goods site and they show the correct pictures for the Nexgen's from Trademark Poker (the supplier of these chips). Their pictures "are not" the same as you posted ,as being received.
I would call them and ask why is there a difference...

Re: Are these NEXGEN Series 8000?

did they make a new nexgen (or maybe a first run) with all white edge spots? I have never seen that before.

How do they feel/sound compared to other nexgens

Re: Are these NEXGEN Series 8000?

What disappoints me is that I ordered these chips and expected them to be the same as the ones on their website. I wasn't expecting chips with the same colored edge spots. I believed I was getting the chips with the different colored edge spots like the ones posted on their site and on other sites that sell this same series. These chips are gifts for non-chipaholics and they won't know the difference but I will.

I appreciate the help an assistance, and I am contacting them as we type. Again, thanks for the replies. Irish

I don't know to both of your questions. I am a Nexgen newbie. Yet again, I am a chip newbie. But I do have over a 1000 Faux Clays!
