Heads Up Challenge- An Ongoing Game worth 5K

Heads Up Challenge

A good friend and I play heads up pretty often. We have played cards together for several years together. We usually play mixed games, etc. for decent stakes, here and there. However.....

After talking about it, we have decided to take it to the next level and make it even more interesting. We've decided on an ongoing game. Something where we have something greater at stake, something interesting with a pain point if lost, and is not over after a few hours of heads up in the garage, while playing mixed games. Which is what we usually do.

This is something we have put a lot of thought into and should work out to be pretty sweet at the end. We can play at our pace and schedule. Play some long long sessions if wanted, or slow down if things are busy with court cases (he's an attorney) or baby stuff, etc. and not play such long sessions. Most sessions will be in the 4 to 6 hour range.

Here is the basic landscape of the "Heads Up Challenge":
(Sadly, this sounds like Rounders)

We both start with 30K in chips.
Play is heads up.
We play dealer call it in rotations or specified amounts of time. (1/2 hour chunks).
Allowed games are the following: NLHE, PLH, PLO
Blinds are $25/50. Blinds do not increase unless both agree.
Sessions will be as often as possible, likely a time or two a week.
We anticipate the game in total, will run 80 to 100 hours.
There is no rebuy.
The player with all the chips is the winner.

At the end of each session, (should I not have all his chips in the first hour :P ) we count our chips, rack them up, write down our chip counts, etc.. At the beginning of the following session, we rebuild the chip stacks based on the count at closing of the last session and resume the game with the same chip stacks.

Here is the good part:
At stake is entry into however many events at either the Reno PoG Series, The WSOP Circuit or Series event(s), Fiesta De Lago or Bellagio Five Diamonds events in LV, etc. for the total value of $5,000 cash. One event or multiple events equaling 5K.

Winner will choose the events he will play. Winner can choose "Cash Only" option, but tourney entry is "mutually agreed" at this point to be the most exciting and preferred method. Travel expenses included if event entry is less than 5K. (travel expenses can not exceed 10% of prize, so basically a 49 buck SWA ticket to LV or gas to Reno / Tahoe and room for a night or two at the local Chuckwagon Inn)

Wish me luck! I'm either playing in some tourneys in a few months or free rolling my buddy.
