I'd agree with
noelsarchs, don't know why you need to oil them in the first place. (and I'm not so sure this practice didn't get started right here on chiptalk ) While chip collectors have oiled their chips after cleaning them and to enhance their appearance, it certainly isn't something that needs to be done. Casinos never oil their chips and they seem to work fine in their environment ,,,
However, if you're applying labels over inlays or a hot stamp, you might want to use a quick wipe with Goof Off or 90%+ rubbing alcohol to clean the surface before applying the label.
