I just called the US dist for Dal Negro - GAME ROOM SUPPLY. The girl that I spoke with did mention that this seems to be more than an isolated incident and that a bad batch of cards did leave the factory in Italy, cards without the protective PVC coating. She could not answer if the 5 4 H was a date code. Maybe it's on every card.
It would be interesting to see what code is on the A

of the decks others have, decks with the problem and without.
My next step is to E-mail the owner and let him know all the specifics. It seems that GAME ROOM SUPPLY wants the cards back so they can send them to Italy for inspection.
I will let you know what happens next.
EDIT---1:15PM 8/18 The owner of the US Dist for Dal Negro called me. That, by itself, was a business showing how to provide great service. I will be getting replacements, from old stock, and I will send back the defective decks so they may be forwarded on to Dal Negro for inspection. I'm satisfied with how this is progressing. Hopefully the error run was small and not too many of you will have to get replacements. Still no answer if the code on the A

was a date code or not.
I will update when I get the replacments.
