I used to feel as you did that only 10g would do, and I still prefer that weight, but when your whole set is 8.5-9g you really don't notice that much. Trust me, I played with 10g Paulsons for years and have been working with a custom ASM set now and I don't notice the weight thing at all. Would I prefer 10g, absolutely. Do I notice or mind my lighter chips, not a bit of it.
