I definately think that the all in bet with JJ was horrible. I also left out that someone else had called my raise in between us. He folded after the all in bet. |
If you think the all-in was horrible, what did you think he had? If you thought he had AA or KK, you have to lay down AK. You were literally betting he was pushing with something besides AA or KK. I have no idea what the structure was, but this guy was betting you didn't have AA, KK, or QQ and wanted to take the pot down right there so you didn't have a chance to catch with AK, AQ, KQ, AJ, or whatever you were raising with. The all-in might be a bit much, and risky, but I don't mind the reasoning behind his push. Calling pushes with AK pre-flop is NOT where it's at. Search the strategy forum for intelligent posts by jojo detailing why AK is a great hand (it rhymes with old fequity).
