Hey All -
Recently we inherited a dining table set and sideboard. Other than the fact its a beautiful set and looks great in our dining room, this proved rather inconvenient for me since our empty dining room was the primary spot for my #1 table in my monthly home tourney. Therefore, I decided that I would make a poker table top that would fit on top of the new table.
Basically i made a standard poker table, but left off the legs and instead attached it to a piece of plywood with the exact shape of the dining table cut out of it. Then i just put some pieces of scrap velveteen on the bottom to keep it from scratching the surface of the table, and voila! Instant poker table! Its a little higher off the ground then i would like, since it basically sits on top of the table, but its nothing that cant be gotten used to. I didn't cut any cupholder holes, and plan on using the slide-under-the-rail style to keep any rogue beverages under control.
I managed to get this done for my next tourney coming up a week from Friday, now if only my custom ASMs will get here in time!!!
Just thought I would share, thanks for checking it out.
Edit: Added a picture with the top removed to prove to BigKyle that its really just a top!

(thanks for the comments BigKyle)
