I wonder who/why would buy these...
Maybe someone who wants to add to their set.

I haven't been tracking the price of Vineyards lately. A year or two ago, the prices were going crazy. But I certainly won't be bidding on this auction. That set just doesn't make sense to me:

1) The breakdown is horrible, if you're looking for a playable set. I suppose you could support a 3 person game at a variety of stakes, but there's not enough chips there to support a full table of any stakes.
2) If it's not a playable set ... then how interesting is it for a collector? Do collectors want that many of any particular chip?
3) For a lot less money, you could buy a really sweet (and large) set of custom chips.
4) The vineyards are OK, but there are lots of clay chips that are readily available that I personally prefer.
5) I doubt that this would even be a very good investment, even assuming the buyer would invest the effort to break up the set and sell individual chips/denoms.

So.... you guys don't have to worry about bidding against me on this one.
My thoughts exactly. Even if it was a playable set for cash and tourney he is still on the pipe.

I'm really warming up to the Vineyards. At first I didn't care for them.
