I agree with Sniper. I like to make some moves early in the tournament to establish a certain demeanor at the table. But I don't want to get caught and get so low on chips that I am being blinded out in the second round because the blinds jumped so high.

For a T1000 I will do a 10/20 and for a T5000 I will do a 50/100.
