Not trying to flame spray, just inform: We have a Representative Democracy, not a Democracy so even if you did vote there is no guarantee your elected official would or even should vote in accordance with your views or wishes (I know this doesn't sound like it makes sense, but in reality it is the way the system works). The only recourse voters have is to remember which Representatives act contrary to their wishes and punish them by not voting for them again and hopefully removing them from office at the next possible opportunity.
