| Re: HOH3 and Theory of NoLimit HE in the 2+2 house! -- And MINE!! 5/27 Just got home from commencement, opened my mailbox, and there was a priority box from Conjelco with my two books!! Sweeet! (I did not pay for express shipping.)
First impresssion: HOH3 looks totally awesome -- fifty hand problems, along with a scoring system similar to "How Good is Your Limit Holdem" (and others in that series I assume). Some examples are from actual tournaments: for example, Negreanu vs Farha or Hellmuth vs Matusow (can't wait to get to that one!).
NLHE: Theory and Practice (NLHE: TP?) looks equally enticing: TOC is very long, but every topic looks key. For example: under a topic "Sizing Your Preflop Raise" are sections on Deep Stack (with subheadings) and Short Stack (for example, if you want action/ if you don't). Bet-sizing has, of course, many, many sections, not only in this preflop section. Looks very cool, but harder to summarize than HOH3.
In short, I have to finish my grading (yes, graduation occurs before final grades are due), so I can get to my reading!! |
