Card Pouch by HPC Review

Manufacturer: Unknown
Retailer(s): www.holdempokerchips.com
Average Price: $5.99 for 1 pouch
Material: Vinyl

Member Review by:MasterBrewer
I thought these would be a good alternative to the 2 setup hard plastic box that we are all familiar with. Since I have a 1000 chip birdcage style carrying case, I can't fit the hard plastic card box in the birdcage and was hoping I could use 2 of these and still fit them in the top of the birdcage.
Price
5.99 for 1 pouch plus shipping. The pouches are available in either narrow (bridge) or wide (poker) sizes. Both versions are the same price.
Feel / Durability
Although I knew these were going to be vinyl, these pouches still feel a little cheap. They feel thin and like the material could potentially rip. The stitching at all the seams appears to be rather strong, and doesn't appear like it would be a weak point.

The velcro tabs arent stitched on, but the glue used seems to be pretty strong and covers the whole tab. I'm not concerned at all that the tabs will fall off.

Looks
These cases are vinyl and look the part.... the material is very shiny and "plastic-y" looking. No one will mistake these for being leather. The case only comes in black and is lined with a white cotton material. The cases come with 1 of the 4 suit symbols on it. When ordering you can specify which suit you want in the comments section. If you don't specify, you will get just a random suit.

Also, there are now 4 egyptian style pouches and I have attached a photo of those as well.

Reviewers Comments
This seems like it is a decent case for someone who is looking for an inexpensive card holder. These cases fit the cards snugly, and the first couple times getting the cards in and out of it is a little bit of work. However the case doesn't seem like its TOO tight around the cards, so I don't think there should be any concern with the cards warping due to the case.

The vinyl seems to stretch a bit, which makes it easier to get the cards in and out after the first few times. It remains to be seen if there will be a problem down the road with the case stretching TOO much, but I don't think that will be an issue.

I have attached a couple pictures of the cases. You can see that they fit very well in the birdcage, and would make it extremely easy to carry up to 4 decks of cards around inside the cage.

With that said, if I used a chip case that had room for the hard plastic cases that most Kems or Copags come with, I would probably stick with those. I not really convinced that these cases add any protection or improved style to my overall setup, other than fitting the necessary size limitations. However, the pouch is well put together and in my opinion worth the $6 if you are looking for a single-deck soft case.

Lastly, please don't make fun of my soprano's in the picture. I am working on some custom ASM's, so cut me some slack until then
