We settled (via polls) on a set of chips that are shown here:
... This set was chosen by taking free-form submissions, getting "seconded" into a poll, and then by process of elimination
getting down to this final set.
This was all democratic, scientific, and also a bit chaotic.

What we ended up with IMO was not the set that everyone is excited about, me included. (I've tried to keep my opinion out of it for the most part, but I too am not 100% happy with all these chips) There are two or three chips that I like a lot, no doubt. It seems to me that we had a lot of great mockups in the master thread, but they kinda got lost in the midst of formal submissions and polls.
We then
ran a poll asking which chips needed "attention" to tweak it to where we liked it. Astonishingly, every ship (except one) got a significant amount of "no confidence" votes. The one that didn't fare badly was the blue $1 chip.
I propose this: Let's take the $1 blue chip as is, and discuss the rest of the set from $5 on up, one by one. This is basically where I was headed a couple of weeks ago, but instead of tweaking a few "problem" chips, let's do the whole set sans the $1. The white spots on blue seems to be the one chips that has popped up in a LOT of submissions from the beginning, so let's roll with it.
I want to do this fairly quickly, and not spend too much time on any one chip.
** Do not submit chips here, we'll do that in a separate thread for each color. Just tell me what you think about this direction. I want to get to inlays quicker rather than later.
