What about this limit hold 'em game

blinds .25/.50

raise in increments of .50 before the flop ($1, $1.50, $2, and it's capped)
raise in increments of $1 after flop/turn ($1, raise to $2, $3, $4 capped)
raise in increments of $2 after river ($2, raise to $4, $6, $8 capped)

In my experiences, the kind of guys you played with will not do a whole bunch of extra raising but rather a bunch of calling. Nothing slows down wild-arse no limit players like a good game of limit poker.
