| Missed someones's deal and a dealer error Two things happened last night - that were ackward - the corrections were accepted by everyone and there was absolutely no disagreements and no one was upset.
Just looking for opinions, experience and knowledge.
1. We skipped someone's deal - in NL Holdem. Player to my right had put out a small blind (he should have been the big blind in the hand, player to his right should have been the small blind and didn't post it)- I saw the small blind out there it and just posted the big blind - action continued and after the hand was done the player who didn't post his small blind wanted the deal. The player who incorectly posted the small blind wanted the button. We just continued on and i became the small blind and the player that never posted the sb never got a deal that round. BTW - the player that was dealing the hand with the screwed up blinds was new and relatively inexperienced and did't catch the mispostings.
Any opinions on what the correct decision should be?
2. 5 Draw - I'm dealing, 1st two players get their cards, then I think it's me next because I can't see that one more player still has cards. I take my one card (kept a 6,7,8,9) and got a King. Player who I skipped because his hands wee over his cards says what about me. No one has acted yet, other than me taking the one card. I obviously know what card I got on the draw. We decided to put the King back in the deck and re-shuffle, missed player gets his cards and i take one card and we go on. BTW - I did not get the straight the 2nd time around. Evryone seems cool with the decision.
Any opinions on this one?
Thanks,
Matthew
