I don't think the $1000 round I have is any rougher or more textured than the other egyptians I have. And I haven't found the egyptians to be noticeably rougher than other chipcos but I don't have many other styles to compare with. Some of the Moneymaker River Poker Tour chips, a few chiptalk chips and some HPC business card chips. The River Poker Tour chips might be a little smoother but not terribly noticeably so.
