Re: 600 chip cash game set
Makes perfect sense, I guess i could half the 25c to 160 and just give every player $5 in quarters (20) but one of my biggest pet peeves is having to make any kind of change period in the pot. Right now we're playing with a non denom el-cheapo set with the chips to .25/.50/$1, with this setup we rarely have to make change. With the .50 chip gone though i see us making change far more often if there aren't alot of .25's.
My big thing about making change in the pot is that I obviously pay attention to what people are betting but i very very rarely pay attention to the chips they put in since they're usually right in front of them. When people are making change all the time it's hard to keep track of the pot since the money isn't in front of them, and is instead mixed into the pot. It's not that i think anyone would cheat it's just that with people making change all the time i'd have to worry about it. This is afterall real money we're talking about not tournament chips and mistakes do happen.
I guess i see having to count out more chips as the lesser of 2 evils, besides i think it's more fun imo to play with more chips, i think most of the guys i play with would agree. Does that make sense or am i totally off my gourd? Maybe i'm giving my friends too much credit thinking they can stack four chips and then match that stack for each dollar they want to bet lol.
