The Desert Palms had a similar sized inlay, and I dont remember them having these issues as much...(although those chips did have the color matched ring around the outside of the inlay,which helps hide any defects) For the Samurais, I think the mold and inlay design have a lot to do with whats lacking..(the visable white ring on the black inlays,etc)...I think the High Rollers avoided this due to them being Grand inlayed.
It seems (only by the pics and scans) that the Samurai $100's seem to have the most misshapen inlays. Some of the inlays themselves seem to be oval (or some wierd shape) to begin with...and when they arent centered correctly, the inlay overlaps onto the mold.
Ive been and remain a big supporter of these chips, but am slightly dissapointed (for now) that some of the inlays are, what seems to be, more off then the other previously mentioned sets...Im probably guilty of setting my hopes too high as well.
Who knows what Ill say once thier in my hands.
