if you start off playing small buy-in online games you must be ready to face a lot of bad players in the earlier stages. Now this isnt always the case but for the most part you will run into guys who will play almost any draw and like to push chips around like crazy. Of course you can take advantage of this play but what i like to do is what for decent starting hands, AJ or better and high pocket pairs, and i try to see a cheap enough flop. By using this tactic i can avoid many risky plays against these players and make it into the later stages.
After the first break i start to loosen up, play my normal game, and i continue with this all the way to the end. Using this overall strategy seems to be a good way to go about it, i cash about 7 times out of 10 using this strategy so i figured i'd pass it along. Good luck in your upcoming tourneys!
