i do understand your points, but i cannot see how the quarters are used only for the blinds..wouldnt your initial bets be 0.50? so if not using 1/2dollars wouldnt you need more quarters/player? and in a limit game you'd need only 50cent bets during the first two betting rounds requiring 2-quarters or 1 -1/2 dollar...unless you made change from your own bets (put in a dollar take back your quarters..which is certainly feasible)
i guess my question is taking these points into consideration...is the set up you suggest enough quarters for play w/o constantly making change?
thanks again...and feel free to tell me if i am thinking about this way too hard..

Hey Malt, I got some time to go back and read this over, I think that if you were going to play .25/.50 Limit the .50 bet would be on the turn and river, you could make the blinds .25/.25, or get .05 or .10 chips to add to the set (but they are not really needed)
Also you asked if you would need more .25 chips to cover the .50, well you don't because the $1 chips will take care of that. If you were playing the limit version, on the turn and river making a raise would mean you put $1 out there, you don't need to put (4) .25 chips. Basically, as long as you had $1 chips you would never need more than (2) .25 chips to make a bet ($1.50, $4.50, etc.)
Hope that helps a little bit. And you know its important to remember....these are your chips, you set the denoms any way you want!!
