I like to bet in multiples of the BB, at least preflop. My thinking was this: I'm UTG and the $4800 bet would (hopefully) convey a strong hand (stronger than my actual 66) and I'd get to pick up the blinds and stay around for another orbit and hopefully catch some better cards. While this left me with only $1000, i thought it made my hand look stronger by making it appear that i was planning on staying in the game beyond that bet. I thought an all-in bet at that point would be more likely to get callers than a 4x raise of the BB.
