In home game use like you say, your Chipcos will last frickin' forever.

Any wear from very heavy use would be lightening of the chip faces around the edges. Since there's a white "ring" designed at the very edge, even the first steps of wear would not be noticeable. It would be a
looooonnnng time before these chips would look crappy (like, during your grandchildrens' senior years!).
Now, if you're considering the Chipco Egyptians vs. the Paulson clay Pharaoh's . . . there are many reasons to pick one over the other. But wear would not be a reason at all IMO.
