bad beat or not... I have to tell you about a hand I had last week in a live tourney, and let me know if you think it was a bad beat or not.
96 players started - down to final table - 8 people left - I am BB (3000) with 5500 and the short stack by far. All fold, SB just calls I have 8d -2s. I check, flop comes 8c - 10c - 2c...wow 2 pair. SM says he'll put me all in, I figure 10's?, flush draw? I had to call. SB shows Qc - 7h...Turn comes Jc...I am dying, just my luck...I stood up to leave and knocked my metal folding chair over, I turned around to pick it up...so I didn't see the river come, suddenly theres a little commotion...I hear full house!! Who me? Yep, 2d shows up!! I could not believe it. I got a little run going then and finished 2nd. A couple of people said it was a bad beat and I sucked out. Actually though, I was ahead after the flop and I feel it technically was not a bad beat. I would love to hear your comments. |
