Do you really want to play online poker?
Online poker is very convienent. BUT - it can take your hard earned $$$ quick if you are not careful. The skulls promo is nice, but it may be cheaper in the long run to actually buy them.
PSO is an online affiliate. Affiliates are basically salespeople for online sites. They get comissions whne you sign up for the pokersite throuigh their webpage. As an incentive for you to use them as the signup point - they give back some of this comission as prizes or cash.
The basics of the
PSO skulls deal -
First, set up a
PSO account.
Then, there is a banner on
PSO that you need to ckick for this deal. They do not offer the skulls all of the time. Sometimes it is only up until the 1st 20 (or whatever amount that they want to give out that day) people sign up.
Cliking the link sends you to the next page - where you pick the site you want to play at. They have several and you can get one of their offers for each site. All of the sites have different playing requirements for claiming the bonus. Usually, there is a specific amount of raked hands that myst be played before they "pay"
PSO - who then will send you whatever offer you signed up for.
PSO has specific instructions on what to do when signing up through their site - so make sure you follow them. They are pretty good about correcting things (post any issues in the forum) as long as the account is created through their links.
There are also minimum deposits required for this. I am not sure exactly what they are - but I cleared several of their offers with $100 placed at the specific site.
Now you have to play the required # of hands to clear the bonus. If you have a small bankroll, this could take some time. In most cases - the smaller the stakes - the more hands required. Do not try to clear the bonus playing tournamnets or SnG - this will take forever as the rake generated for tournamnets is very small when compared to cash games.
My recommendation - do not go for the
PSO offers yet. There are several affiliates out there offering "instant bankrolls" of like $10-$25. You can find them on rsp - or someone here could probably PM one to you that they have used. This will allow for you to get your feet wet playing online.
