| Re: Cash Game Breakdown My game is also a 1/2, although we also play with a kill. I have a 500 chip set though, so it's a little different, but here's my breakdown.
80 - $0.25
300 - $1
100 - $5
20 - $25
When we play, I usually give everyone 8 quarters and the rest in 1's to start. That's enough quarters to give a full 10 player game 8 each. It's plenty, probably too much as I ended up taking some off the table last time when we were 8 handed. For you, if you want to stick to a 300 chip set, going with a 50c chip is probably a good idea. You could get away with 40 of those or possibly fewer. That leaves more spots for 1's which you will need a ton of.
I only use the 5's for rebuys or buy-ins once we're out of 1's. The 25's are just for colorups at the end of the night to make cashing out easier on me.
For a 300 set, I would recommend maybe:
40 - 50c
200 - $1
60 - $5
That's $520 available in chips. Depending on your game, that might be a little tight, but I'd hate to go with fewer $1 chips. |
