Re: Tool for Caclulating how many chips you need
Nice work Capt, I just downloaded your spreadsheet and I have begun to take a look. I think the simplicity in ahopen's spreadsheet is where the appeal is at. Something that I think will be important is the ability to change the number of denoms that you have to work with (ie. someone only has a 4 color chip set to work with, what is the best way to maximize its use, or they have 6 colors and want to see them all).
Forgive me if your spreadsheet can do this as I am just getting a few minutes to look at it. Yours is a bit more intimidating as I'm not sure which cells are ok for me to alter and which ones might mess up a formula.

I can host yours too, if you'd like.
I think that my spreadsheet could stand a few enhancements....
For one thing, I'd like to make it available to people that don't have excell.
It should handle a variety of games (limit/no limit, cash, tourney, etc.)
It should handle a range of stakes
It should handle non-denoms
It should handle a range of game sizes
The spreadsheet I have can do all of that, but it's kinda a manual operation. Perhaps it could be made easier to use and smarter...
I'd like to enhance the colorup calculations to make it a bit more flexible there, too.
What would you guys like to see?
